The Wollongong Combined Services March 10-2-2002

Firefighters and various other services came together today as the City of Wollongong commemorated them for their tireless efforts during the Black Christmas Fires 2001.
The emergency service workers numbered over 1000 marched through Wollongong
supported by thousands of people.
After speeches from the Lord Mayor of Wollongong and other community leaders. Emergency workers were given a medal of outstanding service to the community, from the people of Wollongong.
Then a BBQ lunch was provided for all participants and a concert in the park.
