The Sydney Combined Services March 8th Feb 2002

Firefighters and other emergency services came together today as the city of Sydney commemorated their tireless efforts during the Black Christmas Fires 2001.
Emergency service workers numbered over 5000. They marched from below the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Town Hall.
During the fires, firefighters numbered up to 15000.
After speeches from the Governor General, the Premier of N.S.W. and the Lord Mayor of Sydney, emergency workers were given the Key to the City of Sydney.
A BBQ lunch was provided for all participants and a concert in the park.
